Port Lympne Safari Park
Really great place to visit with kids, and especially enjoyed being able to ride around in a gold buggy. The accommodation was very unique being on between the leopard and hippo enclosure. The toiletries were lovely too. We also really enjoyed the safari ride. The only thing that let down the place was the terrible service in the restaurants.

Port Lympne is a good park, but it's a safari park and hotel franchise first and secondly a zoo.The “two-tier” vibe is a bit off-putting, here's what I mean by that: You are unable to hire their golf buggies on a standard entry ticket, you must book accommodation where a golf buggy is part of the package. As a result, you have to dodge and sidestep buggies, put up with their noise, and their noxious exhaust fumes. You might even feel a bit like a second-class customer somewhere along the way.Getting around, another note: The whole place is built on the side of a sloping hill! For those that prefer the comfort and convenience of flat Terra Firma, this could put a dampener on the day.The dinosaur model forest walk is brilliant, for a bunch of stationary 1:1 scale models, there's a great variety of examples from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous with detailed information boards. I really enjoyed the branding and quality of information signage across the park in general. The variety of animals is not as diverse as some zoos, but has a decent range nonetheless. We popped in for afternoon tea and it could have been better. Very sparse on the savoury items. Mini scones were the highlight with cream and jam. The interior of the mansion house is beautiful, though. But chances are a wedding will be going on, so you feel you're in the way of things! As they don't seem to close off much of the premises at all.

Absolutely brilliant day out. No queues anywhere, lots of well kept animals, really lovely setting and a great safari ride. The walking route was quite long which was fab. We were there for 5 1/2 hours and still didn’t quite make it around everything. Highly recommend.

Absolutely enjoyed my time here. It was a lovely experience to see the animals, especially the tour which they provide taking you closer to the giraffes. someone from our group touched the giraffe which made one of a staff a bit sentimental. she kept bringing the topic out during rest of the safari to make her point.Driving the gold cart was fun. the restaurant near the entrance was absolutely fantastic. overall, if you love animals than i would definitely recommend to go there. Best to take your kids and not at summer time. there were no air cons at the outdoor cabin which can make kids a bit hot tempered.i will visit again under pleasant circumstances.

An underrated place to explore nearby London. Very few are aware of this. Worth visiting. 1 hour Safari was a great experience considering at just 2 hr travel from London via Train. The walking route takes another 1.30 hrs. Few options for coffee and snacks inside the wildlife park. Stays are also available for those planning to visit more than a day. In a nutshell, will definitely recommend to visit once if it’s your first time doing Safari. Do find a Sunny Day for the best experience.Note: Although you can drop-in directly but prior booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

I have been to Port Lympne a few times over the years and was given a Virgin voucher for afternoon tea.Entry was super easy and found our way down to the mansion in no time. The voucher for afternoon tea included park entry, although not access to the safari. The tea room was a good temperature, which was heavenly on such a hot day. The wall and ceiling paintings were amazing to look at, and the staff were nice and friendly.Although a wedding was taking place and seemed busy just outside of the tea room, the staff were always to hand when needed. Im a fussy eater but the staff were happy to accommodate a change to the options which was much appreciated. The food was what you'd expect for an afternoon tea and once finished, we headed out and explored the park.I was pleased to see the new and very large lion enclosure has now been finished since my last visit. And it's massive!

Such an amazing experience! The staff members were extremely helpful and took the time to explain everything from the different breed of animals, best ways to navigate through the safari park, we even got a loft back to base camp by one of the safari truck drivers as there were about 18 of us (mixed adults and children) all I'm all I had an amazing time and so did the kids. Our next trip we'll be staying onsite to have an even better experience.

I went here for the first time with my wife and 5 year old child. The grounds are lovely and well looked after. The only downside for us was that it is very hilly when walking around and if you have back problems as I do this really doesn't help. We booked the safari trip also which was nice BUT the massive army vehicles they use kick out sooo much smoke and it stinks that's all I could small going round its not helpful when we are all waiting to get on and they leave the vehicle running right next to the kids play park. The play park is very very small with not much in it for the kids to do when waiting for the safari very disappointed.

Had a lovely time here today. Booked the day ticket with safari and could not have been more pleased with it. All staff members we spoke to were fantastic and friendly, and the site itself is beautiful. Do pack a comfy pair of shoes as you will do a fair bit of walking (or at least you should if you want to get the most out of your visit).

We didn't stay here as we live fairly near by. We had the most incredible day. The dinosaur forest is incredible and the best thing ever for any Dino loving life ones. The safari is great, bumpy but, very informative and it's lovely to hear about the reintroduction of animals into the wild. If you do go on the safari, try to sit on the left!
